The men on board the HMS Terror - part of the ill fated 1845 Franklin Expedition - are entering a second summer in the Artic Circle without a thaw, stranded in a nightmarish landscape of ice and desolation.  Endlessly cold, they struggle to survive with poisonous rations and a dwindling coal supply.  Bur their real enemy is even more terrifying.  There is something out there in the frigid darkness: an unseen predator stalking their ship, a monstrous terror clawing to get in.

My Review:

This gripping historical thriller uses real characters and real events for it's amazing story.  As someone who usually doesn't read thrillers because you can't hide your eyes during the scary parts, I was amazed at how this book drew me into the story.  I had a hard time putting it down!  Whether you like horror and thriller style of books or not, you'll love reading this one!  I'm already passing it along to some of my friends and family.
