My Opinion:

I've been through two very bad break ups in my adult life.  The first one was when I left my husband of 5 years, taking my two small sons with me.  And the second was when my long time boyfriend and I broke up after 5 years of being together.  I was devastated by these two breakups.  The first one killed me because I didn't want to get divorced, but knew that was my only choice, other wise I may not have survived that relationship.. either physically or emotionally.  But I knew the reason we broke up was because I had married a liar and someone who was abusive.  The second relationship was basically wonderful.  He was my best friend, but he wasn't ready for the kind of commitment that I wanted.  Luckily for me, the second breakup didn't last but a year and a half, and now we've been back together for almost 7 years!

Reading through When Love Ends and the Ice Cream Carton is Empty brought back a lot of memories of those two break ups.  The pain that I went through, the devastation, and all the tears I cried during that time.  I think I would have found this book very helpful during that time, to get through it and find my way back into the light a lot faster than I did.

This is a very inspirational book for those people, especially women, who are going through, have gone through, or thinking of breaking up with someone.  Not only will it help you find some solace and peace, but it'll help you to heal much faster than trying to do it on your own.   Jackie M Johnson gives you prayers, scriptures and great advice to use while your going through this very difficult time in your life.  Breaking up is never easy, but with a little help and some great support, you can get through it!  That which does not kill us, makes us stronger!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has gone through or is going through a difficult breakup.  Whether it's a divorce or boyfriend, it's much easier to heal with a wonderful book like When Love Ends and the Ice Cream Carton is Empty.
