Teen Thursday
As my boys got older, it got a little harder for me to find books that were just right for them. One, being boys, there's really not a lot of books out there for them... at least not as teenagers. Most of the books that are for teenagers are for teen girls... romance, main character is a girl, and girly plots. Not really what teen boys want to read. So when I come across some good books for my boys, I nearly shove them down their throats. LOL! Well not literally. So here are a few of those books that I have given to my sons to read and some that are good for girls too.
The Curse Workers: White Cat by Holly Black
The Curse Workers: White Cat by Holly Black
About the Book:
The Curse Workers: White Cat is about a young man, Cassel, who comes from a family of Curse Workers. These are people with extraordinary talents that are often used by powerful people for criminal pursuits. Most curse workers are harmless with the ability to give people good or bad luck, change their memories, or change emotions. But there are some that are very dangerous who are death workers, or people who can break your bones by just touching you. Cassel was born into a family of Curse Workers, but he has no working ability. What he does have is a horrible half memory of killing his best friend, the girl he was in love with. But when he starts sleep walking and gets kicked out of his boarding school, Cassel starts to question his memories and his family!

How Many Books Do You Read?
I literally, have a stack of about 12 books that I need to read between now and the end of June. So to try and make sure I read them all, I"m reading 3 books right now. I have one here at my work desk that I read in between working and blogging. I have one downstairs in the living room that I read when I'm not watching TV. And finally I have one in my bedroom that I read before going to sleep.
